Contrary to reports that surfaced on Monday that The Daily Show host Comedian Trevor Noah spent over R130 million for a penthouse in Midtown Manhattan, the Washington Journal has revealed that the comedian has realized that the title deeds handed to him on Monday were not legit upon trying to transfer the ownership at Property Registration Manhattan Department.
According to Washington Journal, the three bedroom duplex penthouse is still registered to one Dr Luke Phillips who bought it from late Samantha Richards in 1999.
”I’m short of words man. I didn’t know a human being is that heartless, at least I have reported the matter to the police and hopefully they will be caught since I gave the police the copies of their IDs that were used in this botched deal.I’m powerless as we speak,I just wish my world could just end now. If the police cannot bring the positive results then definitely I will engage a traditional healer to bring back my hard-earned money”,said the troubled comedian.
In case there is no positive response from the police, the comedian has vowed to fly back to his home country and seek the help of the traditional healers to get back the money he was defrauded on Monday.
According to the FBI,the South African comedian transferred a total sum of US10 million into the bank account of a Nigerian national who used the American documents which were later discovered that they were also not legit.
