The controversial Minister of Social Development and ANC Women’s League President Bathabile Dlamini accidentally dropped a full bottle of Savanna Dry after her appearance in parliament yesterday.
According to sources who witnessed the incident, the under fire mister appeared very angry after the grilling she suffered from SCOPA members in parliament. A full 500ml bottle of Savanna Dry accidentally fell from her handbag.
“At first I thought it was a hand lotion or perfume. Upon thorough investigation I learned it was a bottle of Savanna. I thought people were lying when they said she was an alcoholic. Yesterday I saw it with my two eyes. No wonder she didn’t make sense when she appeared before the MPs. She was probably drunk,” said the source on condition of anonymity.
Our sister newspaper Daily Sun reported in January that Dlamini, who goes by the nickname of Batagilwe, addressed crowd in Germiston under the influence of alcohol. Apparently Dlamini was struggling to stand and used the microphone stand for support when sitting and standing up.
Attempts to get a comment from her equally controversial spokesperson Lumka Oliphant were unsuccessful.
