JOHANNESBURG – A factory worker from Soweto has won R20 million in the Lotto jackpot.
Ithuba Holding’s says the woman was very emotional when claiming her prize.
The woman says she’d like to go on early retirement, buy a house by the sea and also buy her daughter a home.
Ithuba’s Zukiswa Nomnganga says they have an eight-year lifestyle programme to assists winners.
“We’ll keep on checking on them to see how they are doing and there is also constant contact, that should they struggle with the winnings, then they can come back to us and we can offer them help.”
Last week, a cellphone shop worker became an instant millionaire after winning R31,6 million in the Lotto PowerBall.
The Gauteng woman bought a R15 ticket at a Fourways store.
National Lottery operator, Ithuba, says the winner only realised she’d won the jackpot the day after the live draw.
