Reports have surfaced that Metro FM DJ Tbo Touch was taken off air last week after an alleged feud with the station manager Sibongile Mtshali.
It has been reported that the supposed disagreement was over the time-frame of his Monday gospel segment called Monday Replenishment. While Sibongile wanted the segment to be 20 minutes long‚ it’s reported that Tbo Touch – real name Thabo Molefe – wanted it be an hour long.
However‚ speaking to TMG Entertainment‚ SABC spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago denied that Tbo Touch was taken off his show‚ The Touch Down‚ due to his alleged argument with the station manager.
According to Kaizer‚ there are “various issues‚” which he refused to mention‚ that serve as the leading cause for the radio personality’s absence from his drive time slot. “There is no feud between Sibongile and Tbo Touch‚ that I know of.”
“There are various issues that the management is dealing with regarding Tbo Touch’s role on Metro FM. However‚ until those issues are solved‚ he will be off air.”
Early last year‚ Tbo Touch was suspended by Metro FM for allegedly not adhering to the rules of the station.
Several reports claimed this was due to promoting his product range of fragrances‚ mobile money services and condoms called Touch Lifestyle‚ on air.
